-- News footage from the different newsrooms in the network (Tamworth, Orange, Wagga Wagga, Albury and Bunbury in WA) and news offices in coastal NSW (Lismore, Port Macquarie, Taree and Coffs Harbour) that has been broadcast is kept and catalogued at the Canberra news headquarters, along with scripts and associated documents, c2004-present 

-- Earlier material: the network is in the process of digitising archival news film and tape from the different newsrooms in the network to metal compressed tapes and creating a digital database cataloguing this material. Other types of programming will also be digitised when the news conversion is complete (programs made in the 1980s in the regions included current affairs, children’s and chat shows, and sports)

Access arrangements for researchers will be decided once the digitisation process is complete.

Most programming other than local news is currently provided by the Seven Network, with which Prime has an affiliation agreement.

The Tamworth Regional Council Film and Sound Archive and the Charles Sturt University Regional Archives hold Prime Television archival material (see separate entries in this database for these archives). The network participates in the National Film and Sound Archive’s News and Current Affairs project, whereby specified weeks of news are provided to it, material which can be found in the NFSA catalogue.
